Teaching Opportunities
There are two staff positions available at the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
Nursing Practice Consultant.
The position is assigned responsibilities which involve consulting on activities related to the regulation of nursing practice. This includes responsibility for interacting with other city, state and federal agencies and providing education related to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and other state and federal laws concerning nursing practice.
The minimum qualifications are:
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain unencumbered, current Oklahoma RN license.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required with a master’s or higher degree in nursing preferred.
- Ten years of experience as a registered nurse with four years in a leadership position in an organization.
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain valid Oklahoma driver's license.
- Must posses the ability and willingness to perform job-related travel, including overnight stays and travel by car or air.
Nurse Investigator I.
The position is assigned for planning, coordinating and conducting investigations; monitoring compliance of licensed/certified individuals under Board Orders; and other assigned activities related to the regulation of nursing. This includes responsibility for coordinating and participating with other city, state and federal agencies as needed in activities related to the enforcement of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and other state and federal laws concerning nursing practice.
The minimum qualifications are:
- Unencumbered, current Oklahoma RN license.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required with a master’s preferred
- Seven years of experience as a registered nurse with two years in a nursing service position within the last five years or previous investigative experience.
- Current Oklahoma driver’s license.

Faculty positions (RN to BSN Program)
Oklahoma Wesleyan University is seeking applicants for faculty members to teach in the RN to BSN program. Classes are taught in 4 hour blocks 1 night a week from 6 to 10 pm for 5 weeks.
Qualified applicants will have a valid RN license and a MS in Nursing. Applicants are also needed to teach a computer course to nursing students.

Full-time Nursing Faculty position (non tenure or tenure track)

Job Summary: ECU is seeking highly motivated, self-directed master’s degree prepared
nurse to fill an existing full-time nursing faculty position for the generic nursing program at East
Central University in Ada. This is a 10 month position classified as faculty. Position requires
classroom and clinical instruction, student advisement, professional activities and committee
membership. Some travel required.
Qualifications: Minimum requirement is a Master’s degree in nursing and two years
clinical experience. Medical-surgical/critical care experience preferred, but consideration given
to candidates with experience in other specialty areas. Salary is competitive and commensurate
with qualifications and experience. Financial assistance for doctoral education available.

Assistant Professor

Qualifications:

Part-time Adjunct Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor
Tri County Technology Center is accepting applications for a part-time adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor. The position has a strong long-term emphasis.
Requirements
BSN minimum; have or pursuing Master’s degree; graduate of approved school of nursing, current license as a professional nurse in Oklahoma; 3 years experience in the health field in the last five years as an RN, strong organizational and communication skills. Nursing Instructor - Full time position (2)
Redlands Community College is accepting applications for a full-time 9-month nursing instructor for the NLNAC accredited and OBN approved Associate Degree in Nursing RN Program. Areas of responsibility will be in medical – surgical (Critical Care) with some peds/OB. The successful candidate will work in a team teaching model with clinical and classroom responsibilities. Classroom teaching uses technology in a variety of methods. Redlands strives to maintain a climate of open communication where faculty and staff are included in decision making.
Qualifications

LPN to RN Program Developer – Full-time position
This is a great funded position with an excellent benefit package. This position will terminate at the end of the grant period which is September 30, 2008. Position will commit 100$ time to the project and to the LPN to RN Bridge Program through September 30, 2008. The Program Developer will report to the activity co-director responsible for the LPN to RN component of the Title III project and to the Title III Director.
This position will not be required at the end of the grant period as development will be completed and the LPN to RN Program will be institutionalized. Qualifications include an unencumbered Oklahoma Board of Nursing license and a Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
