About Us

The Institute for Oklahoma Nursing Education is an organization designed to support nursing education and nurse educators in Oklahoma.

Our goal is to provide information about faculty openings in schools of nursing across the state as well as best practices in teaching. Educators will also find information about upcoming conferences, important events, and the regular meetings of the organization.

We also provide information for prospective nursing students regarding nursing programs being offered within the state of Oklahoma.

Mission Statement

To assist nurse educators and strategic partners - foundations, hospitals, community agencies, Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN), the Oklahoma Nurses Association (ONA), public policy makers, and regional workforce boards in

anticipating needs for nurses at all levels of educational preparation and clinical specialties
redesigning nursing education to improve the quality of patient outcomes and access to health care by the public, and in
testing new educational models that will produce more and better qualified nurses.

Vision Statement

To be the leader for nursing education in Oklahoma with the ultimate aim of promoting the health of all Oklahomans and serving as a centralized source of information about nursing education for nurses and the general public.
